Form 990:
The Downtown Ecumenical Services Council (DESC) is not required to submit a Form 990 to the Internal Revenue Service. When DESC was granted 501(c)3 status in 1984, it was defined as a “Group of Churches” on the IRS Form 1023. As such, DESC is recognized as a 501(c)3, but is not required to submit an annual 990.
