Meet Richard!

Richard worked with crypto-tech in the Navy for 9 years before suffering from 2 major strokes that left him disabled. 
He now is taking on life one day at a time recovering.

Richard grew up in miami playing clarinet and football and has loved both since. As an adult in his free time he hangs out with his friends. They will watch the View and go see movies, his most recent favorite is Aquaman.

With help from the VA Richard was able to get into an apartment, which has allowed him to receive food and clothing here at DESC.

Richard has been coming to DESC for a while and he is grateful for the continued compassion of the staff, quality of the food and how wide the clothing options are.
